Christina Tosi is the closest thing we have on these pages to a mad scientist. But her madness leads to deliciousness. The founder of Milk Bar, Tosi has been recognized as a forward looking, inventive, creative, and truly gifted baker since its inception. But how can we, average to below average cooks, replicate what Christina Tosi does?
Meet All About Cake, which opens up her world to our abilities. Inside, there are complex cakes and there are two-minute microwave mug cakes. There are even tips for creating cakes only limited by your own imagination. It's truly inspirational.

American Icon: Alan Mulally and the Fight to Save Ford Motor Company by Bryce G. Hoffman
If you’re in need of a hero in life or at work, or just need a really good reason to believe in the power of a person, I dare you to read this and not fall in love with Mullaly. (He puts my smiley enthusiasm to shame.)
At Home in the World: Reflections on Belonging While Wandering the Globe by Tsh Oxenreider
I stumbled upon this book, equally heavy and light, then turned these pages quickly. It’s easy to forget how simple yet precious, yet human, the choices we make in life are. As uncertain as we might feel about our place in the world, it’s always nice to know no one and nothing can take away what each of us as individuals know, or are waiting to discover deep down.
New Power: How Power Works in Our Hyperconnected World--and How to Make It Work for You by Jeremy Heimans
Times are changing. We’re smack dab in the middle of it and I, for one, could not be more excited. Old money and power still wield force, but the up-and-coming whippersnappers wield a kind of force that will redefine it all.
