The Mystery Writers of America announced the winners of the 2019 Edgar® Awards last night in New York during their 73rd Gala Banquet. The 2019 Edgar® Awards honor the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction, and television published or produced in 2018. Martin Cruz Smith was honored as Grand Master.

The Simon & Schuster Mary Higgins Clark Award went to The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey (Soho Press – Soho Crime) and the G.P. Putnam's Sons Sue Graton Memorial Award went to Shell Game by Sara Paretsky (HarperCollins – William Morrow).
