AnnaDewdney200Anna Dewdney, author of the beloved Llama Llama series of children's books died in her Vermont home on Saturday, September 3, 2016 after a fifteen-month battle with brain cancer. She was 50.

Dewdney first entered childrens' and parents' hearts in 2005 with her picture book, Llama Llama Red Pajama, and continued to write reassuring stories about childhood.  At the time of her death Dewdney had recently completed a new picture book, Little Excavator, due out in June, 2017 and Netflix is releasing an animated series based on Llama Llama next year. 

LlamaRedPJ160We have always looked forward to the next Anna Dewdney book and included Llama Llama Red Pajama on our list of 100 Children's Books to Read in a Lifetime.  Her books are sure to be shared with little ones for generations to come.
