New Romance Discoveries

New Romance DiscoveriesWe recently asked top romance authors to recommend new authors, and a handful came back to us over the moon about authors that aren't exactly new kids on the block but were new to them. And we all know that the discovery of a talented author with a generous backlist is the gift that keeps on giving.

Read on for recommendations by Lisa Renee Jones, Rebecca Zanetti, Nina Bocci, and Sabrina Jeffries.

Nina Bocci on Teri Wilson

Royally RomaWhat could possibly be better than a romance novel set in Italy? An endearingly charming and delightfully sizzling romance with a stunning Crown Prince and a witty, fetching heroine! Royally Roma revisits the enchanting love story we discovered years ago with Roman Holiday. I devoured this novel in one sitting. The descriptions are lush and vibrant, and Wilson's trademark dialogue is sharp and gripping.

Nina Bocci's most recent romance—also Italian-themed—is Roman Crazy, with Alice Clayton.

Rebecca Zanetti on Jackie Ashenden

Wrong for MeI read Jackie Ashenden's Wrong for Me like a kid on a sugar high who can't get enough—all in one sitting. Her characters are raw and intense, flawed and wounded, sexy and oh-so-dangerous. The book takes an ex-con and a stubborn tattoo artist on a wild ride involving past hurts, deep emotions, and fierce passion. If you want a romance that will draw you in and keep you there even after you've finished the book, Wrong for Me is for you. I can't recommend Jackie Ashenden's writing enough.

Rebecca Zanetti's latest addition to her post-apocalyptic Scorpious Syndrome series is Justice Ascending (Jan 31).

Sabrina Jeffries on Meredith Duran

A Lady's Code of MisconductI recently discovered Meredith Duran, a masterful author of historical romances. Her latest, A Lady’s Code of Misconduct (Feb 28), takes worn threads of old tropes, like amnesia and the tortured hero, and weaves them into a lush tapestry with sophisticated, beautiful writing. Crispin seems power-mad and Jane seems saintly, but as Duran slowly unravels their characters amidst a plot of intrigue, betrayal, and dark secrets, we discover they’re more alike than they (or we) realize. The hero is swoonworthy, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with Jane as his flaws shine a light on her own. The tale and characters so captivated me, that I literally couldn’t put it down.

The Danger of Desire (Nov 2016) is Sabrina Jeffries' third book in her Sinful Suitors novels.

Lisa Renee Jones on Sidney Halston

Kiss Marry KillSo, I'm going to let you in on a book that is on my to-be-read list for this coming year! The book is Kiss Marry Kill by Sidney Halston, which is coming out in March 2017. This book caught my eye—great cover—and the blurb is just so enticing and exciting, it gripped me in just the two paragraphs, so I can't wait to see what a full book can do. Kiss Marry Kill will be my first book of Ms. Halston's to read, and I can't wait to experience Jax and Megan's story!

Lisa Renee Jones's most recent suspenseful romance is Surrender (Jan 9).
