Chelsea Handler is good at titles. Let's just state that up front.
Lucky for all of us, her book writing talent doesn't stop there. In Life Will Be the Death of Me: . . . and you too!, Chelsea Handler takes a year to really find herself. After realizing she is living in a bubble inside a bubble, she sets off to do things that normal people do.
She learns how to use the television remote. She cleans up after her dogs. She communes with a shaman and a psychiatrist. Apparently, she also got some reading done, because she has provided us with a list of her favorite recent reads (and a fine list it is, if I may say so).

Circe by Madeline Miller
My favorite book of the summer. I don’t read enough fiction, so when I do, I love to be whisked to a whole other world that pushes my imagination into full gear. One of the most beautiful books I’ve read.
Essentialism by Greg McKeown
My favorite self-help book. Do less better. It doesn’t matter who you are, you could be wasting a lot less time.
The Fatal Shore by Robert Hughes
I just traveled to Australia and was interested in reading about the true history of convicts and the colonization of Australia. Truly fascinating. A big book well worth the historical knowledge you will attain.
Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb
This book reminded me a lot of my own book and is a great reminder how lost all of us feel, a lot of the time. Therapy can be a game changer and that’s happening because so many people are looking more deeply at themselves.
