When it comes to the Japanese approach to dog grooming, only two things count: cuteness and creativity. There is no adherence to specific breed rules. The goal is to achieve Ultimate Cuteness.
Dog photographer Grace Chon, who brought us the book Waggish—in which she captured dogs smiling, as we who love dogs know they do—has now created Puppy Styled, an adorable book that showcases the transformation of dogs going from cute to cutest.
There are nearly 50 dogs featured, all with before-and-afters. And the key groomer challenge isn't so much how to transform a mutt into a top dog, but how to groom perfection so that it is even more perfect.
