Last week, we took a look at a selection of the “tentpole” mysteries and thrillers being released this Spring, so-called because they’re the latest entries in long-running, bestselling series. But readers cannot get by on the tried and true alone, so here’s a baker’s dozen of debuts, follow-ups, and a few series titles that are starting to get awards attention ( the Edgar awards are just around the corner). All we have to go on for now are the jackets and the publishers’ plot descriptions but we’re already sold on these and can’t wait to dive in…
