ReeDrummond225The Pioneer Woman is as popular as ever and this bestselling cookbook author, blogger, and TV show host is also a working mother of four.  Ree Drummond channeled her own need for healthful, delicious dishes that can be made without investing half the day into her new cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Come and Get It!: Simple, Scrumptious Recipes for Crazy Busy Lives and it's fast becoming a go-to.  Just because we love to cook doesn't mean we always have hours to spend in the kitchen, and Drummond gets that.

Ree Drummond is insanely busy, but she still finds time for a great book. See her picks below and look here for more celebrity favorites. Learn more about the Amazon Books Editors' picks for the Best Books of the Year

Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow
Saw the Lin Manuel-Miranda musical first, became consumed by the soundtrack until I memorized every word, then devoured Chernow's biography. So detailed and layered, and it awakened my newly voracious appetite for learning about the history of our nation.

Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder
I opened a mercantile store in the last year and because the Little House series was so important to me as a child, I wanted to carry it in my store. I curled up with one of the copies one evening to flip through a couple of pages, and I couldn't put it down. When children enter our store, I want every one of them to leave with this book.

Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
This occasionally shows up on my bedside table because I start reading the same poems I read as a little girl, and I can't stop. They're delightfully bizarre, creative, and a little ornery. I love them.
