Two milestones are rapidly approaching. 2018 is drawing to a close, and the midterm elections are nearly upon us.
When it comes to books, these two milestones are connected, because 2018 has been a year dominated by political books. That’s probably not much of a surprise to you. Our television and radio, our social media, and many of our thoughts have been dominated by politics this year.
It's also no news that political opinions are divided and highly partisan.
As are many of the best-selling political books--although there are some that fall somewhere in between as well. So in honor of the approach of November 6th, here is a list of political books divided into Left, Right, and Otherwise. (I have made the designations, so forgive me if you disagree with any of my judgements.)
Maybe you'll find something here to reinforce the opinions that you already have. Maybe you'll find something to help you understand the other side a little better. Maybe you'll ignore this list and go buy a novel instead. That would be fine, too.
