The shortlist of the 2019 Booker Prize was announced today, taking the number of Booker Prize finalists from thirteen to six. The list is headlined by the two literary stalwarts, Margaret Atwood and Salman Rushdie. The winners will be announced on October 14th. Each of the shortlisted authors receives £2,500, and the winner will receive £50,000. You can see the longlist here.
