Juniper200.jpgFirst there was Grumpy Cat, then Esther the Wonder Pig, now get ready to fall in love with Juniper.  This adorable red fox is Jessika Coker's pet and in her book Juniper The Happiest Fox, Coker shares stories and photos of their life together. Below is a bit from Coker about what it's like to have a house fox, and some ridiculously cute images from the book.

Juniper the Happiest Fox is a great Mother's Day gift, if you still need to check that box, but be prepared to have your guest room at mom's taken over by the fox she may want to adopt after reading your very thoughtful gift.

From as early as I can remember I have always been infatuated with animals. I grew up watching people on television working with wildlife, fascinated and enthralled by what I saw. I knew at a young age that helping animals was something I wanted to do with my life. Now, at 26 I wake up every morning a red fox in my bed.

Living with a fox hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been magical. It has been almost three years since I first brought home a small handful of brown fluff that constantly cried for food. Now I have a beautiful adult fox that cries for affection, daily. Raising Juniper has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I’m overcome with joy when I think about how she’s grown into a beautiful, confident, “sassy”, adult fox.

Have you ever been curious about what life would be like if you lived with your favorite childhood animal? Maybe that animal was an otter, a wolf, or maybe it was a fox, like me. While the idea of living with a wild animal may seem whimsical and like a fairy tale, the reality of it can be much different! This is why I wrote my story of Juniper, a tame red fox who I adopted as a baby and now lives her BEST life with her very nontraditional family.-- Jessika Coker

… She was no taller than a blade of grass

“To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world....” – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

The only fox with her own Chauffeur

Love comes in all shapes and sizes

The sun is shining, the fox is smiling, and everything will be okay

Juniper is unique in many ways, but being a talented artist is at the top of the list
